In Warren, Michigan there seems to have been an explosion at GM’s Tech Center. Two people were injured and have since been taken to local hospitals. The cause of the explosion seems to be a lithium battery explosion in a lab on campus. We will keep you updated if any other news breaks.

Update 10:37A.M.: ”Warren Mayor Jim Fouts calls the explosion a “major blast” that blew out three large windows and eight-inch doors. There were 80 people in the general area at the time of the explosion.” says WXYZ news.
Update 11:56A.M.: The accident has no relevance to the Volt, but it seems to have been caused by the testing of a new prototype battery.
