Most people who have an entertainment center know how big of a pain in the ass they are. There are cords everywhere and at least 10 remote controls scattered throughout the room. ”This remote goes to the surround sound, that one is for the TV, this one is for the VCR… yes I still have one, shut up. And this one is for the blu-ray and DVD player. Oh, that one? That’s for the badger cage… Don’t ask.”
Well Ikea has created a solution for your entertainment system woes. Introducing the Ikea Uppleva, the all-in-one entertainment center. Uppleva stands for “experience” in Swedish, and a great experience is what it looks to provide. It provides you with surround sound, a dvd player and TV for sure as of now. The LED TV that comes with the Uppleva will be offered in 24,36, 40 and 46 inches and will include WiFi. The TV and all the components to the Uppleva will be controlled by a single remote, so no more CSI investigations are needed to find all of your remotes. What is missing is Blu-Ray, a cable receiver, and an Xbox… but that’s just nitpicking.
Details are hard to come by on the Uppleva currently, but we know that it will be released in the spring of next year.
