World’s Most Expensive Car Crash?

I wrote earlier about one of the most expensive car sale ever, and today I bring you the world’s most expensive car crash… featuring the same model car.

Christopher and Ann Cox took out their 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO for the 50th anniversary of the 250 GTO in Central France. During the meet, another car collided with their 250 GTO. The 250 GTO was worth $31 million. Ann Cox suffered a broken leg and other injuries, while Christopher only had minor scrapes.

The entire front-end of the 250 GTO and the engine were wrecked. The repair is estimated at around $7 million in damage.

The article did not say what caused the crash or who drove the Ferrari 250 GTO. She was hospitalized with a broken leg and her husband had minor scrapes.

  From my understand, It was Christoper Cox who was driving the car. When the story first broke, it was a bit unclear who was driving.

Bummer, and this is my all time favorite Ferrari. Met both Ann & Chris at Cavallino event in the past, super nice and down to earth. Sorry to hear about this - glad all are repairable.
