Time for me to geek out. I give you the S.H.I.E.L.D. operations vehicle, the Acura MDX. S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement Logistics Division. Whew, that’s a mouthful. S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives are there to assist and protect the Avengers, which consist of famous superheroes like Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk and many more.
If you read an earlier post from today about the Veyron being expensive, well that car’s price is chump change compared to the price of this MDX. $6,000,000 is the price tag on this SUV. Why so pricey? Here’s a list why.
- Palladium-powered 80,000 TOHC 32-valve engine with titanium-forged block and nitrous fuel-injected system.
- 234mpg in the city
- 302mpg on the highway
- 9 speed HYPER-Shift transmission
- Diamond quartz cross-drilled brake calipers
- Steering wheel with palm-scan ID
- Lithium Dioxide-injecting shocks
- Reflex-response steering column with target guidance feedback
- Super-scan theft-deterrent modulator
- Self-detonating recon drone stored in titanium briefcase
- Front dash Info-net sensory tracking system
- Invisa-shield exo-system wave modifier
- Enviro-clone projected hologram of surroundings
- Bulletproof hyper-traction tired
- Retracting Repulsor Cannon
- Emergency homing beacon
- Sentinel Launcher targets multiple combatants in single shot
- Subzero climate capabilities
- Anti-ballistic shielding body panels
- Incoming scan scrambler
- Low-density plasma emitters with UV flares
- Encrypted computer with backup-powered interface and satellite link
And that’s only the really interesting part of the list.
Is this car fictitious? Of course, but man would that be a cool car to have. James Bond, eat your heart out. This car was obviously placed at the New York Auto Show to bring publicity to the new Avengers movie coming out in May.
