Robert Herjavec, one of the investors on “Shark Tank”, slammed his 2011 Ferrari 458 Challenge into a wall on the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA.
It was qualifying rounds for a race having to deal with other rich guys, when he thought “I could go faster”, so he indeed did go faster. Upon entering one of the turns, he lost control going 130 mph and slammed into the raceway’s barrier, destroying his 458′s front end.
You would think Robert would be out of the race, but he didn’t give up on the race, he just got another Ferrari and continued racing. He borrowed one of his Ferrari’s and ended up coming in 5th place. The next day, in the borrowed car, he finished 3rd.
Here’s a dash cam video of the accident from the inside of the 458.
