Google has announced that one of their autonomous vehicles has logged 300,000 miles of testing with out one single accident. For every mile traveled, the computer was in total control without any human intervention.
This is awesome news, because obviously one of the biggest concerns with self-driving cars is if they are safe or not. Well if this is any sign to how well they drive, I can say you can lay those worries to rest for the time being.
Google is now going to start testing the autonomous car in more demanding tasks, such as being interrupted by construction signs, and driving in the snow.
