Jaguar has been creating sub-par luxury cars for quite some time now, and have been absent in the supercar world. This is upsetting to many automotive enthusiasts because Jaguar used to be a brand that was synonymous with speed and power. For those who are counting down the days until a XJ220 successor or a Jaguar that can compete in the LMS, you may just be in luck.
Jaguar has two cars on the way that are going to shake up the automotive world for sure. The first car is the C-X75, an electric supercar. It is powered by four 195bhp electric motors, one sitting on each wheel. With all the motors in place, the C-X75 gets 780bhp and 1180 lb-ft torque. Yes, Jaguar is making a 780hp electric supercar that will do 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds, 0-100mph in 5.5 seconds and 0-186 in 15.7 seconds, which is faster than the Veyron. A zero-emission supercar may be exactly what Jaguar needs in order to step back into the supercar game.
Of course, nothing beats a turbocharged engine. Jaguar is also creating the F-Type which will be more suited for the LMS and other racing series. Based on the C-X16 concept car, the F-Type will come in two different models: the first is the F-type which is powered by a 380hp 3.0-liter supercharged V6, the second being the F-Type R with a 5.0-liter V8 that puts out a very impressive 550hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. Jaguar has recently released two videos teasing the new F-Type which can be viewed below.
